You’ll know from last week’s quote that I love Nora Ephron’s film, Julie and Julia.

When you start to think about building a business, people glibly say ‘find your passion’.  But what does that mean?  It’s easy to say and more difficult to really understand.

I’m inspired by Julia Child because she was interested in cooking but didn’t stop at attending a cookery class.  In her middle years she spent 10 years researching and working on her cookery book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking before it was published. Ten years! Wow!  Today, who has the tenacity to be so tremendously interested in our passion that we invest 10 years in bringing a project to fruition?  That’s dedication and commitment!

On those days when you feel like giving up, have a cup of tea and a piece of cake and reflect on Julia and how she pursued her own path.
