Google Analytics is a free resource that helps business owners to analyse traffic to their website.  It can give you a wide-ranging overview of your website and the data is presented in various reports which enable you to learn more about your website and its visitors.  You can find out where are your website visitors are located. Which marketing channels are driving the most traffic to your site? And which are the most popular pages on your website?

Armed with this information you can make changes to attract more visitors and encourage them to stay on your site longer.

Here’s four things that Google Analytics can do for your business…

By using Google Analytics, you’ll have a better understanding of how effective your website is as a marketing tool.

By tracking traffic patterns and visitor behaviour you will be able to measure the effectiveness of your website, combined with your overall digital presence.

Social channels are a great way to drive traffic to your site and engage potential customers. Google Analytics will tell you which platforms are driving the most visitors to your website, so you can focus your energy and attention on those social media channels and less time on the others.

Good content is one of the best ways to build your ‘know, like and trust’ factors and add value to your audience, whilst positioning yourself as a subject matter expert. With the reports from Google Analytics, you can tweak your most popular blogs so that they appeal to your customers (and potential customers) in a more effective way.
